Whereas for the good of the Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas stable appointments must be made to assist me as the undersigned archbishop in the good governance and administration of the archdiocese and of parishes;
Having considered the needs within the archdiocese, the appointments necessary for the care of this local church, and having determined the qualified candidates to fill them, I hereby decree the following
Appointments
• The Reverend Anthony J. Saiki, J.C.L., from Chancellor and Promoter of Justice to Adjutant Judicial Vicar (cf. Can. 1420 §3) and Ecclesiastical Notary (cf. Can 483 §1), while continuing as Director of Canonical Services and Rector of the Cathedral of St. Peter, Prince of the Apostle and Pastor of the Parish of St. Peter, Prince of the Apostles in Kansas City, KS, effective 8 September 2026;
• Mr Andrew Bartell, J.D., J.C.L., from service outside the Archdiocese to Chancellor (cf. Can. 482, §1), promoter of Justice (cf. Can. 1430) and Chief Operating Officer of the Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas, effective 8 September 2026;
• Rev. David McEvoy, O.Carm, in consultation with his religious superior, from parochial administrator of St. Boniface Catholic Parish in Scipio, KS and St. Therese Catholic Parish in Richmond, KS to pastor of those parishes, effective immediately.
