Eagles soar: Ascension holds fourth Eagle Serve Day

Ascension School in Overland Park held its fourth annual schoolwide Eagle Serve Day on Sept. 26. Students in preschool through eighth grade participated in a variety of service projects to benefit Catholic Charities of Northeast Kansas.

Most projects took place at Ascension, but seventh and eighth graders went out into the community to serve at organizations like TurnStyles and New Roots Farm.

The afternoon was filled with guest speakers representing 11 different nonprofit organizations.
