Savior Pastoral Center is a vibrant location for retreats and workshops here in our archdiocese.
However, over the past several years, we have also been expanding our online presence through the archdiocesan Digital Media Center and our proprietary app, “Catholic Media Arch KCK.”
This Lent and Easter, we have teamed up with the Apostles of the Interior Life to bring all Catholics some exclusive content for their spiritual growth. Thanks to the generous time donated by members of the Apostles of the Interior Life and some of their lay community of supporters, we have been offering daily reflections and meditations through this time. Remember that even though you may not be able to go on a retreat every day, one ought to have a “retreat moment” daily in prayer.
Our team has put the reflections online at the Digital Media Center and on our archdiocesan app. This allows people to access the reflections either on their mobile device or on their computer at home or at work. Each reflection is a short video that pertains to the readings of the day and contains some spiritual nugget for the viewer to reflect upon. These reflections are quite powerful and insightful. One recent video mentioned the analogy of the spiritual life to a game of golf! We are able to keep on receiving mulligans while we live (through confession) but remember that the game will end one day and our “mulligan time” will be over.
If you have missed out on these videos and reflections during Lent, don’t worry! We will continue to post them all the way through the entire season of Easter. Watching these meditations can be a good supplement to your prayer life during this time of Easter joy.
To access the videos, go to the Digital Media Center of the archdiocese here or you can also download our Catholic Media ArchKCK app (for any of your mobile phones or tablets — available in the iTunes App Store, Google Play, Windows Phone, and Amazon Appstore) or by going to this site.
Whether you watch the short videos on the Digital Media Center or on the Catholic Media ArchKCK app, you also will have access to hundreds of other videos to enhance your spiritual journey or to provide you with more information about our Catholic faith.
Great appreciation and thanks again go to Sister Susan Pieper and Sister Michela Brugnoli of the Apostles of the Interior Life and to all their collaborators who have contributed so beautifully to help create this exclusive Catholic content. Please check it out and may the reflections richly bless your spiritual journey!
